Europeana Beacon App

Here we are! This is the new prototype for Future Everything Festival  in Manchester, thanks to Europeana  and Apps4Europe  for this opportunity.

Some words about the App:

“Europeana Beacon  combines the power of Europeana Open Data  with the latest generation technology, iBeacon.
Users can walk around the city and be notified by their phone when something interesting is in the area, allowing people to discover new locations in a new way. Users can read or listen to guides about every spot they approach, also having the possibility to watch and look at  videos and pictures. They can challenge other users in a treasure hunt and discover all the clues or follow the path the curator created for them.
The curator can also access all kind of statistic and know how many times a location of interest has been visited.
